service call this AM. Nice location indoors, nice to work on a clock indoors and at ground level.....it is a Seth Thomas and still uses it's original movement and is manually rewound 2 times a week. Not enough drop to run more than 6 days as there is no basement or sub walk area for the weight to drop into, unlike some fair number of street clock installations. About 20 feet tall, 4 dials.....125 pound weight double compounded...

Jim, where is the clock located? Is it open for public view? I would like to go see it one of these days.

    John,

The clock is in the center of the Bank of America at 700 Louisiana. The mechanism is of course not on display, it is a conventional Seth Thomas movement and is decent condition. The clock was renovated when the building was reopened, I believe in 1983. It draws a lot of attention.

It is a public area of the entire building and can be accessed by the downtown tunnel system or from the street during normal business hours.
