Without any more informations I got the depicted regulator clock by a friend weeks ago.
Myself, I am less familiar with industrially manufactured movements, nevertheless I dare to state, that this movement is a proper example for illustrating the " Amerikanische Bauart "- pattern what is viewed on some details.

Pity, the movement is unmarked, therefore is missing an unambiguous assignment criterion , whether it was manufactured in the US or BF region.

Congrats Dittrich, this is a very interesting clock. The movement is definitely by Junghans.

The clock is Junghans, model "Liberta", as shown in the Junghans catalog 1878. But some finials are missing.
If you want, I can post a picture of the "Liberta" out of catalog 1878.

    Best Regards!

    Hi Chronologiker,

an excerpt from the mentioned Junghans catalog would be very helpful
in order to replace the missing finials.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards !

I would like to know what kind of material the dial is: Is it Celluloid or enameled?

    Hello Chronologiker,

thanks for the pic on which a Junghans "Liberta" is depicted entirely.
The splitted dial of my clock is a simpler version made of sheet iron.

    Best regards,
    Dittrich

    Thanks for the pictures!

Dittrich, this is one of the earliest Junghans clocks we know so far, so the indication of the dial and also a picture of the gong was so important to me. Thank you for sharing this very interesting Junghans!

    Best regards!
