Hi,
I’m servicing a pocket watch for a Canadian friend that has a private label movement. Can someone help me identify the manufacturer of the movement?

Thank you so much! Using your information to get me going, I was able to get more details from the Pocket Watch Database. I learned that the movement dates from around 1902. It’s housed in nice A.W.C. Co. 14k hunter case.

Hello Again,
I'm servicing this watch and noticed two problems:
1) the mainspring is "set" so I'm looking for a replacement. Curiously, the height of the spring is 2.80 mm instead of the usual 2.7 mm (thickness is 0.186mm and length is 20.5"). I'm tempted to get the #47315 (JA-410) which is 2.7mm but there is also a 2.9 mm spring for "thick barrels" 47333 (JA-419). Which should I get?

2) there is one cracked jewel for the third wheel. Suggestions to where to source a replacement?

Hi Michel:

Its a very interesting watch you're working on!

You might be interested to know that Kent, Ambrose & Sons was listed amongst the Grand Trunk Railway System Watch Inspectors in 1898.

Repost your question in the Watch repair section. :)
I could move it there, but it might be confusing to split this thread.

Thanks for the tip. I did post a similar thread on that forum as It looked it wouldn't get much traction here. I did obtain answers to my questions.
