I just thought that I would share this because it's has a happy ending.
I have wanted a Automatic Electric/American Electric Clock Company Model No. 1-A or 1- B for quite some time. In my experience they don't show up very often.
On craigslist I found a listing for a wall cabinet that was made from an Automatic Electric Company 1-A case and dial. The seller had attached the dial with hands to the inside of the door and put 3 shelves in the case. Fortunately the seller mentioned that he still had the movement, pendulum bob and some other parts if someone wanted to turn it back into a clock.
Heck yes. So now I have it running again and it's not a shelving unit. What could be better?

I was just fortunate enough to come across it before someone who wanted a wall cabinet.
