As a frequent poster I can't help but notice the amount of folks who are in need of a particular part to complete a repair on their own clock or a customers' clock
I wanted to make you all aware that Merritts not only has their new parts and tools division but also a division that has probably the largest selection of used clocks and parts in the country and their prices are very reasonable.I only mention this because this may give some of our posters another outlet when trying to find that missing clock part.
If you're looking for something ask for Richard,he runs that area. He's a thoroughly decent individual and he knows his clocks.
I just thought I'd pass this on to our posters so that they would have one more tool in their search for that elusive clock part.
I do want to mention that I have absolutely no affiliation with Merritts.I wish I did but unfortunately not.
I hope this is of some help to all of you.
Sincerely'Bob F.

I'll second Robert's comments about Merritt's. I live close enough that I have been to their store 4 times, about every other weekend to pick up parts, tools, etc. I bought a couple 'basket case' movements for both practice and parts in addition to some tools and new parts. They were very helpful in both the parts store and the clock store and took the time to help someone just getting started learn a little bit about the items purchased.

Hi Phil:
Thanks very much for your reply.I was just curious,do you think Mr. Royces' dwelling was similar to those two brothers who lived in Harlem, New York City at the turn of the century.
Basically as the story goes, after the second brother passed away the police went in the house and found the remains of the first brother mummified, buried under a pile of old newspapers. It seems these two recluses never threw anything away and this went on for about 65 years. The whole house was a maze of garbage tunnels. It took the city forever to clean up this mess.
I was just wondering, where the Hell does anyone store 10,000 movements?Merritts doesn't even have that many.I certainly don't want to make light of Mr.Royces demise but I'd a loved to have seen the inside of his dwelling.Just thought I'd run this by you for your opinion.
Your Friend,Bob Fullerton

"Yeah" You're right. You really should have a system - you know - parameters of some sort. I'm very fastidious and I'll share with you, my regimen. Whenever I can't find my jukebox I begin pickin' stuff up until I can find the vacuum gleaner!

The mind boggles at the thought of 10,000 movements. I have enough trouble keeping track of a few hundred! What kind of shape would they be in after too long in a barn? Although I must admit that American movements are very forgiving of that type of neglect. Harold
