Waltham’s elite 9-ligne movement

Waltham’s 9-ligne movement was initially (1913-1916) used in ladies’ pendant watches and some of Waltham’s more novel pocket watches. However, beginning around 1914 this high-grade movement was also used in some ladies’ wrist watches, perhaps up to 1924. Here are what I have -

The first is from 1914, the second around 1915, the third around 1917 and the 4th from about 1922.

The 9-ligne movement had a relatively short production, probably fewer than 2600 movements, most carrying the “Patrician” private label. They seem to have been only in the following serial number runs:
18,028,301 - 500 Assorted Specials - Patricians found throughout this range
18,063,501 - 800 no grade indicated; no examples yet seen
18,119,501 - 800 Patrician - several examples seen
18,119,801 - 20,600 includes some Patrician (maybe 200)
23,272,001 - 3000 Patrician - a few seen within lower part of range, remainder unknown

Take a look at my other thread (linked in the first post) and please share any wrist watches you may have that used this special movement.
