My ST Office No. 6 has always needed winding after a week, but has always run for a full week and some change. I wound it on Sundays, so it never ran down if I was home. Should be an 8-day movement, from what I've read. HOWEVER, since adding an additional washer behind the pin which secures the minute hand (which had several "minutes" of play in it), it runs only about 5 days. I'm guessing I may have placed too much tension on something, which might explain why the spring can't drive the mechanism beyond day 5. The minute hand is nice and snug now, but I fear I've messed things up. What should I have done and what should I do now? Thanks.
