cuokoo clock 001.JPG My problem is to keep accurate time I have to raise the leaf or bob so high you can't see it . The movement is a Regula 74/1/76 . I'm not sure this the original movement for the case. Any suggestions would be appreciated. cuokoo clock 001.JPG

I suspect it is not the original movement. It looks like a pretty big case. Can we get a picture inside the case from the back.

Many 8-day cuckoos have hidden or almost hiden pendulum leafs.

If the leaf is roughly in the middle of the stick and it keeps decent time, that's just the way it was made. If you wanted you could order different wheels that will give you a longer pendulum length. I'd have to double check but I think on the Regula 34 (8D), you need to change the chain wheel and the second wheel (you'd also need a longer stick).
