Hi all. I apologize in advance if I’m in the wrong section. I’m working on this Bulova with what I believe to be a Hermle movement, and there is a very peculiar tag on the back which reads Reeves within an R logo and has a name.

This is a major long shot, but does anyone recognize this as a company name, or what exactly Reeves was in the ‘70s? I’d like to research Shirley, and while I’m sure she’s no longer with us, it would be amazing to donate this clock to her family if I’m able to find them.

    heif,

It's probably a company ole Shirley worked for way back when.

I think your intensions are honorable but unrealistic. And, if you could repair it and return it to ole Shirley's prodigy, they would probably politely take it home and sit it in a closet until it eventually found it's way back to Goodwill.

In today's world a clock is generally looked at as an ugly oddity that some old folks like.

Sooooooo, if you like the clock, the best thing you could do is keep it maintained and enjoy it yourself, or give it to someone that you know will take care of it and give it a good home.

    My 2,. Willie X

All I can say is that I have a nice little Bulova alarm clock that I acquired as part of a lot on an eBay purchase, and of the 17 clocks I won this is actually one of the most reliable and charming little clocks in the lot.

You have a beautiful clock there, and your intentions are great. If you can find Shirley or her family, go ahead with your plan. If not, keep the clock and cherish it as it was meant to be.

I don't know if it is just me, but I can neither read the labels nor can I enlarge them. Could you please post clearer photos or write the exact text that you see?

Sorry about the terrible lighting. Willie makes an excellent point I hadn’t thought of. It could very be her family that got rid of the clock in the first place. I figured my goal was fairly unrealistic but it’s worth at least looking into!

It’s quite a beautiful clock though, and goes well with my collection of Bulova watches!
