Hello,
Can any of you informed folks out there tell me if this watch was.shock,resistant? It doesn't say so on the dial. Thank you, Duke

The Ashley did not come from the factory with a shock resistant movement. It would have a 680 movement with fixed balance jewels.

The number of "Shockmaster" Lord Elgin models was quite limited before 1956. Elgin made a big deal out of the "Shockmaster" moniker and those that were had it on the dial.

After 1956 most if not all Lord Elgins were shock resistant.
