question, are these interchangeable since in 1930 as in 45 Hamilton was pretty much producing these for the Illinois 161 and 161A’s
Thanks
I need one for a 161A and can’t find one but I do have one in my Hamilton 992E
Before it gets torn down it would be nice to know if they were interchangeable
Thanks

These are totally different watches. Though Hamilton continued to make them, the Hamilton versions of the Bunn Special were essentially the Illinois design. The Hamilton 992e was a Hamilton. I am not sure what you want to interchange but I don't think anything is interchangeable.

The 992e used a friction fit staff ,,the 161a used a riveted style staff staff number 47607 I think old number for the staff was a 1506 .
