Hi all, I recently picked up a little pile of spares and repairs and found this stunning 1916 sterling silver Dennison Cased trench style watch. It's ticking away brilliantly, but I'm hoping someone can ID the movement without me having to start tearing it down. I'd be happy with a manufacturers name and can work from there.

It's a gorgeous piece with screw down back and bezel and just needs a new crystal fitted

Thanks in advance

Dan

More than likely an A. Schild cal. 137. The shape of the balance cock and the type of return spring on the click is like those on known examples. The setting works under the dial would be the best way to tell.

Has it had the radium paint removed and the hands replaced or do you think it was always like that? I have one away for service and the radium paint will be removed so it will look like that but the hands are cathedral style and may look a bit skeletal without lume.

I think it has always been that way. I've had a couple of similar ones previously without lume and similar style hands.
