1915 WL Gilbert Mantel pattern

I am very much a beginner, but I love old clocks and try to purchase them whenever I can. I don't collect the to someday sell them but to pass them down to my Children and Grand Children.
Most of the clocks do not work and I try to repair them, not very good at it yet though.
I thought I would sand this 1915 WL Gilbert case down and refinish it before I tackle the inside mechanism.
Well I'm not so smart as the picture I included I thought that symbol in all 4 corners were ingraved in the wood, lol, they are not. I noticed it immediately but had already sanded to much to stop.
I am trying to figure out after I paint it to be able to put those patterns back on each corner, or if I can find the full size symbol to try to copy, but still don't know how to get them back on clock. My Sister in-law mentioned guilting but she not I have any idea how that is done.
Please give any suggestions you have.

Every mantle clock ive had that had designs on them were recessed into the wood. Maybe you sanded them away. They never are very deep.

Thank you, I didn't sand very much and it was gone, really odd.
I also am missing the back for it, I can make one easy enough but not sure where to get the round tin piece that goes in the center. Not sure if the size of it, but seeing pictures of mantle clocks in that period it looks about 3 inches round.
If you have any idea where I could purchase that, it would be great.
