I am trying to find someone in the U.S. that can repair the back cock suspension bracket on a 18th Century English long case clock, and also clean and oil the movement. I know that they make reproductions but I would very much like to keep the original if at all possible. Here is a photo showing the broken missing piece. I can set it to you separately or with the movement that needs cleaning badly anyway.

    Thank you,

    Dave

What state do you live in? I'd encourage you to have the movement serviced at the same time. There is visible rust, and the movement looks like it needs a good cleaning too. Probably needs some bushing work as well. The repair and an oiling may not do all that you want it to do.

Would love to see the front of the dial and the case. Just as shutterbug said, I would have it cleaned and serviced it.
