I have had this watch a long time. It was my first watch with a fancy dial. It is a grade 150 lever set.

The dial on my 149 is the style regularly seen on the first run 20j 149 and 150s. Of course, dials can be switched but this one is not commonly seen (if ever?) on any other grades.

I haven't been recording data on the 20j Elgins and there aren't many pictures of them readily available on the net, but I did find grade 149 #6348264 with the same dial. I have seen other 20j mvts with this dial but can't recall ever seeing it on another Elgin grade.

Another data point: 20j grade 150 #6349522 has the same dial.

Yes, interesting for 1896. I was just trying to make clear to any lurkers why this unusual dial is correct for the early 20j 149 and 150 mvts. Sometimes it's best to post supporting evidence.

I would think it's perfectly correct too because it's the correct dial signature of the time.
The ones Greg posted are in the 6,340,000 range.

I'm no expert, but love watching Elgin dials. Untill Greg responds, I'd just like to say that your movement is into the third run, where I believe they should have the fleur de lis dial.
