I recently purchased a John Fletcher (1860s) marine chronometer that *was* in near mint condition. The USPS decided to drop kick it to my home and it now has a bent balance pivot and a broken balance pivot. While I can cut balance staffs, I do not feel comfortable attempting a repair and adjusting this clock and am looking for someone well qualified (i.e. has done many of these or specializes in these). Can anyone recommend a shop?

John, thank you. I’ve been trying to reach Dewey for a few days and no word back. Which led me to post a query here. I’m on deadline to get a quote to repair in order to file the claim with the USPS.
