Half way now with the restoration of my 17th century lantern clock. Untill now I made new frets, new square head screws and one new door. And off course cleaned the whole movement etc. Cleaning needed to be done because of the new parts that I had to make which would never get the old finish as was on the clock. All these items were made from yellow cast brass which is exactly the same color and texture as the original brass. It gave me a lot of pleasure working on such an old item. Still not sure if I reconvert it back to balance wheel.

you have done a cracking job on that and very quick turn around. I'm getting a clock back next week hopefully that I bought a year ago! (I only know this because it came up in my facebook feed as one of those memory things of what I was posting a year ago.)

Glad you got to keep the bracket and weight, it was handy knowing somebody to pick it up.
