What's the deal with 14k Dueber cases. If they are stamped 14k, are they 14k?
Good Morning Wagon25:
Welcome to the NAWCC Pocket Watch Message Board!
There are a lot of Dueber cases (and other manufacturer's cases) for which the 14K mark is misleading, being used to denote the quality of the gold-fill.
However, there are 14K solid gold Dueber cases which can be identified by These Trade Marks. The black areas shown in the trade marks are those areas that have been stamped down into the metal, while the white areas appear to be raised.
