• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

I have a 10 size waltham key wind with a rusty movement. Wondering if all models of 10 size Waltham's have the winding arbor in the same place as Id like to replace the movement. Many thanks!

Wow, lucky you! Movements are much easier to find than the cases for these. Of course that's the way it is for most, especially gold, cases. I have the opposite issue. You may have seen my post on the AT&Co. 10s? It's still on my bench awaiting the re-installment of the balance assembly.

Good luck finding a nice movement. They ARE relatively abundant. Not in the nickel plated finish, but gilt are available. I believe that the winding arbor is located in the same spot on the three (?) variants, but I am not certain. Ehrhardt & Meggers's "American Pocket Watches, Identification and Price Guide" shows all types and the arbor looks the same. Cheers.

I agree.
BTW, the book I mentioned is also known as the "gold book", IIRC, due to the color of the soft cover. I think it's a "must have" for American PW collectors. Cheers.
