This Little Fusee Dial Clock arrived yesterday from Portsmouth .There is a name on the back of the dial so I would assume it’s J Read of Portsea 1830 ish.
There is a screw hole to the right of the back plate which makes me think it was verge but I can’t see any other evidence of that.
The case is a little tatty with what seems to be a new side door and the bottom door has its original lock .
The clock looks not to have been messed about with much and the dial is original by its looks.
The bezel opens the opposite way and the bezel lock needs work .
I am thrilled with this new addition to my house and it’s on the wall ticking away happily.Oh it has its pendulum and key.
