VINTAGE SEIKO CATHEDRAL ROTATING PENDULUM GOLD MANTLE (QQW535G)

From what I can visualize, that center part is just plastic that appears to be some sort of adhesive, etc. and not cracked plastic or corrosion.

VINTAGE SEIKO CATHEDRAL ROTATING PENDULUM GOLD MANTLE (QQW535G)

The white plastic part that provides movement for the pendulum has 960 SKMM stamped on it's side. It contains the movements parts along with a very small circuit board in one corner that has one or two capacitors, one resistor and some other electrical component that I can't figure out? Looks...

VINTAGE SEIKO CATHEDRAL ROTATING PENDULUM GOLD MANTLE (QQW535G)

No....the clock mechanism has it's own battery section and is not affected at all. In other words the clock has two entirely separate battery sections. One battery strictly for the clock operation and another battery section strictly for the rotating pendulum mechanism. It is the rotating...

    Water Buried Clock Project

Wow, I have to hand it to you. That restoration definitely is a challenge (at least to me). Good luck on your progress and please continue to post pictures as well.

    Old clock. Is it authentic?

What a waste. The total restoration cost will more than likely far exceed what the clock is actually worth, maybe? Though it's current condition would definitely be a challenge for someone to attempt a total restoration, IMHO. By the way....what is the name of that style of clock and movement?

    Mystery Clock

Just my $0.02 here...... Wow...seems like some people just don't really know what they have or just don't care. Hey that's their choice but "IF" I had something like that treasure, especially from my family heirloom I would be over joyed and grateful to have it and either fix or restore it...

Seth Thomas sidewalk post clock installation in NYC

That is so awesome to have a clock, such as that, it being mechanical, being fully restored to it's former glory and then displayed publicly for all to see and enjoy. I would love to have a mechanical clock such as that one, in my backyard to enjoy. Thank you very much for posting and sharing...
