    seen the notch is in sync it seems to work right spinning the strike gear by hand think it is stop lever needs adjusting like shutterbug said or something like that

    bought this for 100$ it strikes all the time think the strike gears not in correct timing fixed a column clock at one time not remember how somebody had it apart to clean it am sure

    my 1795 scott longcase- pic to left - had a weak rack spring-one somebody made probably a weak rack spring on yours it will miss a bell strike sometimes

    got cable winding on spool correct and that fixed that have problem with chiming correct most times while ago work correct is basic westminster chime I think this has a peg for the hour hand so it goes on one way but can still move the hour hand is a trick for setting that?

    makes basic westminster chime sort of and drum moves to the side for hour strike I think but the chime weight now rubs the pendulum bob 1/2 way down and stops think it had 2 shims to tilt seat board forward might try that or the cable is not wound on the drum spiral right?

    think found it bottom left is home made spring is out of place that runs to snail and rack not giving enough spring force

    see after run clock for a day or 2 little triangle walks too far to left and jams most of the time works ok out of time? any ideas? should not bought this clock lady nice to deliver 100 miles was going this way anyway wanted $100 now wants another $40 real backward business person

    put this clock together soldered some things then winding spring broke for time and broke pivot it is small as a needle how would it be fixed is it possible shaft is too small to drill to press in pin have it not apsrt now
