    I cannot see any sign of a door on the bottom of the back box in picture No 2 There should be one to enable the pendulum to be moved to start the clock after winding

    The white bit inside the oblong window has a mark on it and moves when the clock is running That way you can see if it is working or has stopped

    It will look and sound better if you can keep the original movemrnt in it The sound of the tick makes a lot of difference Winding it every day can be a chore but that is one of the "joys" of having a proper clock
