Does the dial say "Swiss made" ?

As you surmise TPH is the mark for Thomas Peter Hewitt who was manager of the Lancashire Watch Company of Prescot.
Your watch is Swiss dating from the middle of the 19th century. It has a right-angle lever escapement rather than the cheaper cylinder escapement...
