    Help identifying model

Hi Jeremy, I agree with you, I don't think it's an Ansonia. I've been through most of the Tran duy Ly books & can't find anything like it. I also thought the case might be a little bit "too good". I'm hoping the movement pics will provide some more clues. Regards, Luke

Hi Andy, I've asked the owner for some more pictures, showing the movement and a clear background for the clock. Hopefully we'll get them in the next couple of days. Regards, Luke

    Help identifying model

Hello, Does anyone recognise this clock? It hasn't arrived in my workshop yet, but the owner has sent me this picture. He thinks it is an Ansonia, but the dial is unmarked. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Luke Adare Clocks South Australia

    Seth Thomas ID

Thanks Bruce, you're quite right. Maybe I skipped past because the dial is different (looking for excuses really!) but the case is spot on. How did you get the date range? My book just says 1906, which I thought was an indication of which catalogue it first appeared in and the actual manufacture...

Hello, I see very few Seth Thomas clocks here in Adelaide (South Australia) so I wanted to look this one up. However I couldn't find it in Tran Duy Ly's "Seth Thomas vol 1" Hoping someone is able to help. Thanks, Luke Adare Clocks

Hello All, Here are some pics of a spring driven, long case GB. I think it is from 1912 (if I can read the tables correctly). It seemed to have have last serviced by a steam locomotive mechanic, who used his favourite axle grease and heavy oil for lubrication. It didn't need any bushes and it...

English Mantel Clock with British Jerome movement

I've also had one of the New Haven clocks, stamped as "British Manufacture" that JMClaugh refers to. It was pretty standard American fare except for solid plates. Luke Adare Clocks South Australia

Hello, Back in October I posted this GB longcase. From the serial number it was dated as early 1932, however, when I returned it, I found that it was presented in August 1929. More vagaries of the serial number/record keeping of old clock companies? The current owner is 94 & the clock was...

Hello Kurt & John, Thank you both for your information, it's great to have that detail for the owner. I'll try to get a photo of the case when I return the movement. Cheers, Luke
