    Hermle 1050 20

I found a new barrel installed my spring and installed. The balance wheel turns about a 1/4" beyond 360 degrees, with this type balance that doesn't have the holes and weights how is it known if it is in time or in beat?

Thank you Shutterbug I found the problem 4 bent barrel teeth on the time train. This 1050 has the #50 on the strike and the # 52 barrel on the time. Timesavers explained their Hermel barrel is for both the 50 and 52, if the barrel is the same then why stamp the caps 50 and 52? Any info would be...

    Hermle 1050 20

This movement has been serviced, has been cleaned, polished and oiled along with the main springs. This movement does not show any wear just looks good. I put it back together and ran fine for 2 days then stopped. I find that I can give the balance a little start and apply very light pressure to...

    Waterbury strike

Need some thoughts on why this movement keeps excellent time, strikes the bell on the half hour and strikes the gong on the hour without fail when the movement is out of the case. When the movement is in the case it will not strike the hour, the warning does not set the minute hand passes the 12...

    R/S strike

The gathering pin is deep in the rack teeth, there's no oil on the arbor and the rack moves freely. No luck uploading the video.

    R/S strike

The movement strikes fine at 1,2,5,6,7 8,9,10,11,and 12. At 3 o'clock it strikes 2 I can see a tooth on the rack being skipped. At 4 o'clock when the gatheriing pin comes around to the rack it hangs up on the 1st tooth? Any help would be appreciated.

    Schatz 53 arbor

The arbor has been straightened movement is running strong with very good swing. Again there is not a hair line scratch to be found on the barrel teeth or the teeth of any of the other gears. I'm putting this post to bed.

    Schatz 53 arbor

This is the first clock i've seen that was secured in its wood crate. I don't know how many new clocks in their crates or how many brand new barrels complete with Springs you have seen to be convinced there's no possible way it could have come from the factory this way but if there is a remote...

    Schatz 53 arbor

Actually my question wasn't asking if anyone believed what I posted but what could be the cause. There isn't a hair line scratch on any of the teeth on the barrel or the teeth of the first wheel pinion, the click is in perfect condition along with the rest of the movement. The barrel it's self...

    Schatz 53 arbor

The main spring is in perfect condition, it was wound prior to letting down to disassemble. No other marks or bends just the bent arbor.

    Schatz 53 arbor

I have a new schatz 53 and find the arbor next to the main spring barrel is bent. What is the proper way to bend back to normal? Strange thing is this clock was still sealed it its wood crate, tape on the dome that crumbled when touched, all the paper work along with the key and extra suspension...
