    Certainly could be a factory or watchmaker piece - I've shown before my Waltham KW that runs backwards with factory fired backward dial ( not under the dial reverse as some later were done)

    FYI measured some 3/4 plates - Norton 6520 & 6705 both measure 44.2 mm across dial plate & two others Wm.
