Huge clock made from factory and farming parts..

It's nice to see steampunk used to create a time piece rather than destroy one for a change!

Help with information on a French Ball movement clock.

Yes, it's a Marti movement, but the clock was obviously assembled by another manufacturer. Hence the trademark stamped over the Marti medallion. I have seen the trademark before, but as I said, I am not familiar with it.

Help with information on a French Ball movement clock.

It looks to be a French Roulant movement with a platform escapement. So it doesn't need a pendulum to work. I am not familiar with the trademark, but one of our experts might be.

I believe your clock is an Asian reproduction. Most likely from Korea. Here is a thread on a similar clock: Click Here

Got My Covid Vaccination on Monday

I had my first AstraZeneca shot a couple of weeks ago. I am booked in to have my second shot in 12 weeks time. I was a little off colour for three or four days (headache, lethargic and a few joint aches), but I have felt the same after the flue shot. I think the media is driving the hype behind...

    Seth Thomas Maritime Clock

Thanks Uhralt. The OP said "Currently mechanism runs 12 hour", so I assumed run time was what they were asking about.

    Seth Thomas Maritime Clock

That is a good quality balance wheel movement and while I am not familiar with it, I very much doubt it was made to run for only 12 hours.

    Help identifying a clock movement

Welcome to the forums lfortin411. Your clock is Japanese. You can have a look at this page compiled by Charles E Davis (deceased) for known Japanese trade marks (I think yours is H19 Heart H Seikosho) Click Here

    Seth Thomas Maritime Clock

I am not aware of a ST 12 hour movement. Can you post pictures of it? It may be it is a one day movement that needs repair, in which case it would need no modification.

Got My Covid Vaccination on Monday

Who knew that losing my spleen and most of my pancreas would be a benefit one day ;) Means I'm classed as immunosuppressed, so I got to jump the queue.

Got My Covid Vaccination on Monday

Here in Tasmania it has been 110 days since our last case of covid-19. And that case was a local in quarantine who had returned from mainland Australia. It's been 230 days since our last locally transmitted case. I'm very proud of how my state took the hard decisions early and got this virus...

Pony Express System and John Anderson

Welcome to the forums MDiaz9! Unfortunately, Charles is no longer with us in person, so we are lucky so much of his knowledge is still available in our archives. Can you post pictures of your clocks?

    Issue with Weights

Then I think the picture JimmyOZ posted seems to indicate the weight you currently have is about half of what you actually need. Personally I'd run it on a single drop and find out how long it runs for. Then I'd decide if it needed a double drop and heavier weights.

    Issue with Weights

Approximately, yes. But the question now is, is the movement eight day without the pulley? If it is, just run a single drop with 4.5 lbs. That is unless you want it to run for two weeks on a winding.

    Issue with Weights

If the weight is original to the movement and it originally ran with a pulley, then the movement likely needs cleaning or repair. If the weight is not original to the movement or if it was originally used from a single drop (no pulley), then the weight is simply not heavy enough. Keep in mind...

    Need help identifying this Regulator

That confirms it is a miniature movement.

    Need help identifying this Regulator

Just a couple of further observations, the movement is currently set up for a single drop (no pulley) on the weight. This means it will only run for 3 or 4 days. It should run a pulley as it is an 8 day movement. A question to ask. Will it run with that weight and a pulley? If not, it may need...

    Need help identifying this Regulator

The movement looks to be an unmarked Gebruder Resch miniature to me. There are several listed in this thread: Click Here

    Need help identifying this Regulator

Yes, that does look like a home-made case and we need to see the back of the movement. Also, a side view of the escape wheel and anchor would help. What diameter is the dial?
