    venus 175 jewels

Smudgy. Been awhile how are you? The cap jewel (in the prongs) is pressed in from the underside. I was able to rotate that inner spring, but didn't want to go so far as to pop it out without chercking with someone first. Thanks

    venus 175 jewels

before I do something I'll regret, I want to remove theupper/lower balance jewels. Each have this cap jewel held by the prongs. Under that there is another jewel held by what appears to these old eyes as some sort of cam lock? Looking for a method to remove. Also these seem to be cap jewels as well.

venus 2 reg chrono with day month windows???

dial side Other than being a bit on the dirty side, broken push zero reset pice and spring, missing minute register pawl/plate, couple of screws, the only thing wrong is this mangled hairspring. I managed to get the HS back to the point it functioned perfectly in all but 2 positions. Think...

    7750 dial removal

Thanks to all I finally got it. The outside edge of the circular end of the clamp wedges the dial foot, not the inner edge as I thought. That's why I couldn't understand how pulling outward would release the clamp.

    sub dial hand help

Unfortunitely not. I struggled and did get it off and lost in the never- never- land of the floor. But using your logic I could try your technique with the donner pipe removed from the replacement hand

    sub dial hand help

Thanks. I don't have the old tube, but the new hand was very inexpensive and thought once I sized it, I could scavage that tube and fit to my original gilded hand. the original tube stayed on the movement and the hand sheered cleanly off. It appears the hole in the hand may have become enlarged...

    sub dial hand help

popped the hand off the pipe when removed for the movement's R&R. Ordered a couple of new ones from the manufacturer, but of course the fit needs "tweeking".(too tight). Suggestions on opening up the new hand's pipe, and thoughts on then refitting the pipe to the original(gilded) hand.

    Electric WW quartz lubricants

Without getting into the why fix it, I have a citizen 3570 torn down, cleaned, replaced bad electronics, and ready to reassemble. Not being able to figure out or get an answer as to what "A", "V", "F", or CH-1 lubes are, what is the correct lube or lubes for analog quartz movements? I see a...

Electric WW getting desperate for citizen quartz help (pics)

I bought it as a no run, for 25.00. Citizen had a manual for it,(although it doesn't cover said mystery piece ), so it seemed like a good candidate to work on. The mechanicals are fine, and the electronics seemed to be the problems. Bad chrono coil, circuit, and broken second recording...
