The cord has been rewound as suggested but now the pendulum has stopped working. I am starting it but it slows down and eventually stops in about 1 hour. It was working perfectly before it was moved. Any suggestions? Thank you for your help.
I have a Seth Thomas wall clock circa 1881 #44. The cord is on a grooved spool and when clock was moved the cord was displaced on spool. In the process of letting the weight pull the cord to the end of its cycle. When rewinding, does the cord start at the front or back of the spool?
