    I believe so, the sayings were often religious themed. "Remember Me" "Jesus Wept" and "Forget Me Not" were all common on embroidered watch samplers. Here's a "Forget Me Not". This one is actually dated at the bottom, but has worn over time. It seems to be 183x - so 1830's.
