Thanks Steven, it does say Tachimoto on the glass and here is a close up of the partial trademark.

    Japanese Scroll Clock

From my deceased father's collection, Any information you guys may have about it would be greatly appreciated. No marks on the movement and the trademark on dial is only partial.

Sessions Kitchen clock- any info on it would be appreciated

Thank you Richard for your quick response, yes the case was refinished by my father with a Wipe On Poly high gloss polyurethane and he replaced the door hinges but used the original nails to mount them. The case itself has no screws, it's nailed and glued and looks like a pretty low quality...

I agree with John, that looks like the only bracket ever to be mounted in this case and from the discoloration and fading that movement has been there for a long time. The case itself is all original including the hardware and doesn't show any signs of repair or refinishing. If the pulleys are...

Here's the picture of the pendulum, as you can see it appears to have split and been repaired with string. Also the chime hammer has a piece of felt on the striker and the chimes seem awfully muted, is that normal or can I take off the felt?

Jurgen, Thanks for the info. I'm glad they came in such variety, it means that I won't have to hunt for and duplicate the exact catalog model. The pic you attached is a little more ornate then I was planning on, here are two I found that look simple to recreate and seem more elegant with out...

Post Your Gustav Becker Clocks Here

I inherited this G&B wall clock from my father who passed last spring. It was last serviced in 1993 according to tag inside it but I know it hasn't been in use since then, mother would only allow one chiming clock to be run at a time and that was the grandfather clock. I set it up, leveled it...

    Unknown regulator shelf clock

Thanks Harold, I suspected it was a Junghans but the mark was different from the later models I have from Junghans. Do the pencil markings on the back have any significance?

    Unknown regulator shelf clock

This is another clock I inherited from my father. It has a stamp on the movement with a "J" inside a five sided star. On the back of the clock it's marked 1869 and has three markings with numbers and what look like initials or other distinguishing marks from three different individuals written...

French Carriage clock with day date

Attached are pics of the movement and a mark I found stamped in the back, hope it helps. No, nothing missing, it only has the day and date, no month. I guess the maker thought you'd know what month it is although I like the scene in the Jeremiah Johnson movie where the two mountain men run...

French Carriage clock with day date

Hello, a newbie here. I have a brass carriage clock left to me, along with a few others, by my father who passed last spring. Any information in possibly identifying the age and maker would be greatly appreciated. There are no markings on the movement, face or case. It's all original, I took...
