    Help Uploading Video

Do I take it to mean that YouTube is now no longer the only way to post video.... that we can now just upload our own directly without having to put it on YouTube? If so... that is great news, and thank you. Once uploaded, do the videos become property of the NAWCC, or become public domain...

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

Thank you, Tom. I hope there are no hard feelings. I was characterizing the transaction as "multi-kilobuck," which was accurate, but not you. I'm a retired public school teacher and private university adjunct professor myself, but still active as a professional classical and jazz musician (well...

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

Actually, Frank, your post, whether intentionally or not, offers what may be a great solution to this whole debate. A paid "For Sale" ad in the Mart would offer the protections by NAWCC you detail above. Sellers and buyers who wish to take advantage of those protections can do so by buying...

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

I am sixty years old. Our opinions and the way you and I interact with other humans including loved ones and friends may differ, but that hardly indicates that "I am sadly mistaken." It simply means we don't see things the same way. Thank you for the condescension... always an attractive...

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

Dave, Personally, I may not have phrased it that way, but there still hasn't been any real justification for not allowing low value "For sale/trade" posts other than... 1.Sometime in the past some forum members got upset with each other. The obvious answer to that is..so what? That's on...

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

Frank, Thank you for getting and publishing the details and costs of the process. Unfortunately, that pricing (a minimum of $11.40) is cost prohibitive for advertising many of things we'd like to offer each other to help out. Defeats the whole purpose of the "For sale or trade" items I'd...

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

... on a fee per listing basis?

And now.... the crux of the matter... drum roll, please.... ;)...

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

Tom, Thank you for continually responding to this issue, always in a kind, matter-of-fact manner. If I understand correctly, as it stands now, if one wants to offer anything for sale, they have two options.. 1. A paid advertisement in the Mart, which will now show also show up in the new...

    Help Ads gone wild

I don't see a single ad. Try using "Brave" for your browser; it's a fork of Chrome, but privacy oriented, very fast, and has a great adblocker built in. There are a very few websites that don't play nice with it, but the vast majority work very well including this one.

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

Thanks, Tom. It's not at all that I have an issue with " 'What is this stuff worth?' as a thread topic in the 400 day clocks forum?" I just didn't see any place on the forum where folks were trading or offering clocks or parts they no longer needed and wondered why. My searching lead me to this...

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

For a person selling a very high dollar item and/or spends the bulk of their time professionally buying, selling, and dealing in clocks as a vocation, then I guess going through those convoluted steps would be worth it. I am not trying to be difficult or deliberately obtuse.. truly. I...

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

No, at least not as it seems you implied in your post. I'm saying that if the membership of NAWCC is incapable of buying and selling to each other amicably and honestly via an online forum, then perhaps throwing in with a cast of such scurrilous characters is ill-advised. Said somewhat...

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

Facebook is a complete non-starter for me. It simply is something in which I will never again, and I mean NEVER, participate. I've seen the negative comments regarding the previous issues with "for sale" portions of this forum and I confess I don't understand them, probably because I wasn't here...

Why no sales allowed on MB or NAWCC online?

I apologize for resurrecting this thread, although at least I found it by searching for the topic just in case it had come up before rather than post blindly as some of us newbies are want to do... ;) I, too, wondered why, unlike two car forums and an aviation forum in which I participate, this...

    NAWCC Banner

Just read through this thread. Is the process automated now? I joined NAWCC as a paid member yesterday, and wouldn't mind having the banner showing my support for the organization's good work, but couldn't find a way to enable it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Help My photos are on Google images search

Just for clarity's sake, my earlier admittedly, but unintentionally, confrontational post about privacy issues was not in any way directed at this forum specifically, but rather at the changes in society in general. My desires for privacy have nothing to do with fear of nefarious activities...

Help My photos are on Google images search

I confess I COMPLETELY sympathize with the OP. If I am in a room with a certain small crowd of people and I share an observation, opinion, fact, or personal tidbit, I expect that sharing to stay within that room. If one of the people in that room chooses to share it with another gathering in...
