    Eco-Drive Capacitor Chart

those Renata watch testers are really nice - analyses the watch and battery before you take the watch apart. The one I used worked on the 3v systems and the 1.55 volt silver oxides - do they also work on the MT series battery watches like the eco-drive? I used one once at a jewelry store, but...

    Eco-Drive Capacitor Chart

Thank so much. From what you present and from what I have now read - the manganese - titanium - lithium are 1.5 volt cells and are not what are commonly called "lithium-ion" cells - which are the 3.2 - 3.7 volt cells. Below is a write up on these and the charging voltages are discussed. Did...

    Eco-Drive Capacitor Chart

Apparently to accurately measure a lithium - ion battery takes a special meter. A regular volt meter will give you a reading, but it is not the right way to do it. Does anyone have a recommendation or experience with these lithium - ion meters? I have seen a few that claim to be able to give...

American PW Question about UV lamp for glue

I never realized how complicated it was supposed to be until I read about it from Permabond - who have a good reason to make it sound complicated. But I don't do much of it and never apply it very thick, which is where some of the issues seem to be.

American PW Question about UV lamp for glue

I guess the folks at Permabond will discuss the details of their products - but I am not sure how much they will disclose for a simple consumer with limited use. They claim they will prepare UV glues and provide details on the lamps to meet your needs, but my guess is that only applies to large...

American PW Question about UV lamp for glue

Ultraviolet light is a particular portion of the light spectrum, typically considered to be in the wavelength range from 200 nm (nanometers) to 400 nm. Light in this spectral range has many important uses including water purification, semiconductor lithography, sun tanning and, of course...

    Locked Out

can you or your pal provide a closeup of the lock and key hole? I usually pick these with a bent large size paper clip or with a right angle scribe. the usual design of these desk locks is a leaf spring that has to be lifted up about 1/8 of an inch and slot in the locking plate that gets slid...

    Eco-Drive Capacitor Chart

---------- yes - this is one with no second hand so it takes a bit longer to see how the minute hand reacts - it does nothing for awhile - then starts moving each 1/3 of a minute. (working on two watches here - sorry) this is a B0620M and I have the new part - waiting on the other one

    Eco-Drive Capacitor Chart

the last one I got from him was fine with the single tab - not the double - but it works well - that was a replacement when the proper battery was already in the watch so I knew what to order - I had never seen a battery that had brown and grey "burn" marks around the edge of the + side...

    Eco-Drive Capacitor Chart

I found a seller on eBay who has some sort of chart matching up the movements and batteries. It is a little fuzzy but C62OM or G62OM - he said it takes a MT416 and is sending one. My other question is - how do you check the charging circuit? Do you just put in a new battery - set it in the Sun...

    Eco-Drive Capacitor Chart

I have looked through the forum for a reference to a chart for which capacitor is used in which movement. Some of the old links no longer work and so far I have not found such a table. I have an Eco-drive which appears to have the wrong capacitor in it since it is clearly too small for the area...

What does this steampunk thing mean ?

I did the same with some clock parts - turns out I have found more than one useful bit in the box - but my main reason is so that when my grand kids come over and want to play with grandpa's clock stuff they can do no harm. It is quite interesting what they end up cobbling together with leggos...

    Workbench pad material

I have been using the small size bubble wrapping sheets also. The items get immediately lodged in the indents between the little bubbles and go nowhere at all. When I get an item in the mail that is wrapped in this stuff I keep the large sheets and use them as needed.

    Silver dial cleaning

Have you ever tried the baking soda and aluminum foil technique? Put the silver item on a sheet of aluminum foil (silver touching aluminum) in a plastic tub. Bring water to a full boil and add a couple table spoons of baking soda. With the water as hot as possible pour it over the silver in...

    Found parts!

Thanks - I needed a good laugh today - not at you - but with you and your joy at finding it. Now if you had a cat, that piece may have ended up in the garden as buried treasure (been there - done that )
