Thanks for the link,
I must admit that I confused about the information provided regarding Hands ? x 1.30 x 0.90 x 0.22mm
would this be helpful for determining the correct second hand. Also if I locate a vintage or NOS crown what size would I need.
I picked up a Zodiac that needed a little TLC. Missing the original crown and a proper second hand. I'm not sure what the proper part are. The 17 jewel movement is stamped 1420 and is an automatic. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I picked up an Ultra Deep diving watch at the local Salvation Army for a couple of bucks. The watch is an automatic watch and has a very crazed crystal. I took the watch to a repairman who said he couldn't get to crystal. This type of watch open from the face side. I have been told it could...
Well I took the watch back to my repairman. He fixed it in 30 seconds. He put the stem back in and told me the "hole" was egg shaped from wear. He showed me how to set the watch by putting a little upward pressure on the winding stem when I pull it out.
Several months I purchased this Swiss Art Deco style wristwatch missing the winding stem. Everything else looked brand new. The watchman I use was able replaced the winding stem at least until I pulled it out setting the time last week. Is this a common problem for some wrist watches? I can't...

With what little I know about wrist watches - I would tend to agree. The watch is "too simple" to be a Rolex. I did contact Bucherer about the watch- they indicated their records are no longer at hand to recognize this watch. Which leads me to believe this was "inexpensive" in comparison to...
The watch is a tank style, The black face has no numbers. A crest that looks like an eagle where a 12 would be and swiss made where the 6 should be.
Bucherer marked Mechanical movement 17 unadjusted. Swiss Made.
Unable to see ny numbers.
Metal mesh Band is clasp type
Band and case are gold...

I have an older swiss wristwatch Central that I had serviced about a month ago. The runs way too fast- I plan on taking it back to the repairman but would like to offer a suggestion as to why. Any ideas why a watch would run so fast- I'm not sure if in the overhaul I got a new mainspring...

Could anyone give me a quick list of wrist watch names that may show up at yard or estate sales that might be sleepers. I picked up a couple today. A twenties looking green crystal Capital and a 40's style Wientener(sp).
