A client recently brought me this clock for servicing. Show below is the case which is about 5 feet tall and mounts onto a base that is not shown in this picture. The movement is housed in a metal box that is about 6.5 inches tall and about 6 inches wide. This box mounts in the case and sets on...
I have never seen this movement before. From the back it appears that one could remove either of the strike gear trains without disassembling the entire movement.
I would appreciate info on the age or maker of this clock.
I believe it is French.
The Westimenster and hour hammers and gear trains...
I am servicing the clock in photos below. The case is unlike any I have see before. Also, the hands are thinner than any I have seen and the square at the end of the minute hand cannon gear on which the minute hand mounts is very small. I would like to know if anyone knows the origin and date...
This movement comes from a clock my client bought in Germany. It was sold to her as a Swiss Clock. Sorry I do have a pic of the case.
Hope someone knows the origin and date of this.
For those of you who were raised in America during the 1960s you may be (as I was) to see this inexpensive Tambour style clock.
According to my client this clock was purchased by her mother many years ago.
Recently purchased at an estate sale. Hands are missing. The bell strike hammer is missing. Does anyone have a picture of these parts? Where and when was this clock made?
Customer has this tall case clock with a movement that I have never seen. Request help with origin and age.
The customer has 2 stories.
1. Thinks the clock was shipped to U.S. from Scotland.
2. Maybe movement came from Scotland and installed in a case in the U. S. This story seems to be possible...
What is the style name for this clock? I do not recognize this trademark. Who, where and when was it made.
I do not have this clock in my shop so below are the best pictures I could make.
