    First 400 day

My Kundo has been running now for 5 months. It has been one of my best timekeepers. It started running fast and has gained 12 minutes in the last 3 weeks. It seems to be turning about 260' I think it was a little more when I first serviced it. I didn't do any bushings so maybe I should take it...

    Need help on anniversary Clock

It has a plastic bottom block also. It's probably a spring that was robbed from a battery clock.

    Help anniversary

The springs are really cheap. It would worth it to try a new one. Do you have the Horolover book?

    Help anniversary

It looks a little kinked right above the fork where it goes into the block. That might cause trouble if it is. Is the spring twisted even at rest?

Thanks, Wayne. I'm checking into that. I'll let you know what I find out. Danny

Eric, that's a lot. Thank you for your efforts. That will narrow the search. I'll share what I find too. Thanks again, Danny

    First 400 day

No answer? Does that mean I'm screwed, no wait, unscrewed? Is it a matter of identify and search?

    First 400 day

Who can tell me what screws to get for these clocks? I'd like to get a couple of each, particularly, the ones that hold the spring guard. Thanks, Danny

    First 400 day

Thanks, SB. I've got the rest of my life, or at least until I die to get it set.:) At this time it's showing it's still a little fast so I'll do very small changes to slow it to perfection. I know I'll never get it perfect but I will strive for it. Thanks again, Danny

    First 400 day

Good stuff, Kurt. I did similar things at first also. Yeah, that counting 16 or 24 beats makes great sense. I'll try that before I let it run for a week. I read somewhere that it takes more than a day for the pendulum to equal out. 48 hours I think it said. Thanks for the great help everyone, Danny

    First 400 day

I just tried the pocket watch timing. I watched the pendulum as it turned. When it stopped, as soon as it started in the opposite direction, I started the stopwatch. I counted the 8th turn to the original start point and stopped the watch. It was 59.60 seconds. A second time it was 100.23. A...

Thanks, ShutterB. Can I use my Time Trac to fast track time regulation on the 400 day? Any special thing I need to do?

    First 400 day

Thanks, Wayne. I've got a nice little Kindo midget setting here. It has the Vulliamy pallets and I think a 12 tooth EW. I haven't taken it down yet. I'm going to work on it next week. I'm not sure what plate number it is. I'll be in touch, Danny

Great stuff. Thanks, Kurt. I'm disappointed I waited so long to discover these jewels. Talk to you soon, I hope. Danny

    First 400 day

I was setting the time while just letting the pendulum spin freely. So, make a tooth is lock before setting the hands?

    First 400 day

Hello, all. disciple_dan here. I just started the testing stage of my first 400 day. I've been working with clocks for about 6 years now and bought a 400 day clock early on. I took it apart and read a little about them and was somewhat intimidated by them and promptly boxed it up and set it...
