I will post pictures in the AM when I get home from work, but from what I am reading it just might be easier to find a front mount movement. I thought that perhaps it was possible to just remove the pin and pull the post and turn it around.
Hello,
I was wondering would it be difficult or possible to switch the mounting tabs from the rear of the movement to the front of the movement........
Hmmm.....I do have a few junkers with the low strike movement, I think I will take one apart and see if it fits in there. There are 4 mounting holes inside the front of the case....Wonder if someone in the past found it cheaper to fit a new movement versus rebuilding an old movement?
When I...
Hello,
I am trying to get this clock back together and am wondering if anyone can tell me the proper movement to use. I know the clock is an Ingraham, and the movement is a front mount, what I was wondering was what style dial would be proper, as well as the length of the winder stems. I...
You were very reasonable on all counts. For some reason I seem to notice more buyers/customers being more unreasonable as of late, I thought it was just me.
Does the back pop off or screw off? I hate to scratch it up. I also noticed that the band is marked 10K GF caps on top. Also, It seems that it was a 25th anniversary gift from General Motors to an employee as that is what is engraved on the back of the watch

If it is light 'Gatoring I have used #00000 Steel wool and good old fashioned paste wax to buff out the gatoring.......BUT I have ony used this method where there were several coats of varnish or shellac. As it seems in days of old when spring cleaning was done all the furniture would get a...
Here are pics of the Coo-Coo clock that belonged to my Great-Aunt, it pretty much has been sitting in the original gift box since 1953, as she said that it drove everyone nutz! When I get done packing up her things I will give it a once over and glue the bird's wing back on. What is really cool...
LOL....Yes, If you are not used to clocks ticking and striking they will keep you awake!!
Oh and as for the total 1960's look, you should see the den furniture from Ethan Allen that she bought the same year, early 60's hard rock maple in the popular "Colonial" Style. The Den looks like it...
