• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

    International Time Recorder

Btw it was also missing the Geneva Stops, if that's what they're called on this clock. ended up making templates and hand cut/filed new stops and stop keepers, the long plates that keep the arbor wheel for the stop in place. Finished off making a new bottom for the clock.

    International Time Recorder

I was given the upper half of this ITR to repair. Lower half had been seperated and lost. I used the T-handle, very carefully, 1/2 turn at a time to let down the spring into C-clamps. The largest ones I had fit great.

When you say the strike side "gets thrown off" what do you mean? Does it strike the wrong number of times?

    Seth Thomas A101-000 electric movement

Yep there it is! It's quite possible that was it's purpose though after installing the replacement piece and leaving that spring out I don't hear any 60 cycle hum. One of the issues I notice with mine was the spring was also severly corroded where it rubbed on the arbor. This probably...

    Seth Thomas A101-000 electric movement

It does have a second hand and that is actually the shaft that was severed. I ended up drilling a hole in the severed end of the arbor then making a small extension that would fit into that hole. The other end of that piece was the xtension to the arbor as well as the pivot. Loctited the new...

    Seth Thomas A101-000 electric movement

Well there's a tension washer on the center shaft like most clocks that allows you to turn the setting knob and move the hands without moving the entire train. This spring just straddles the arbor shaft like it's trying to center it but theres a pivot right there so that can't be it. Thanks...

    Seth Thomas A101-000 electric movement

It doesnt seem to have any interaction with other than the center wheel arbor.

    Seth Thomas A101-000 electric movement

Hi everyone! I have a Seth Thomas A101-000 electric movement from a Baxter desk clock. I've identified a part that I can't figure out why it is used. There is a spring that goes around the center shaft about 1/8" from where the rear pivot goes into the hole. This spring looks like it's cut...

    Skeleton clock maker?

Thanks guys. Yes I had already found on the internet that Edward Watson was in business from 1815 to 1863 but I didn't think he was the maker of the clock only the retailer. Seems he also made clocks too. Thanks again for the info.

    Skeleton clock maker?

I recently recieved a skeleton clock form a jeweler friend of mine. It had dropped by the owner years ago and it was given to the jeweler. The thick plate were bent about 1/2" on the top section and a few of the cross bars were also bent in different directions. After rebending, measuring...

    Large Ogee clock information needed

Thanks RM! I tried looking in a lot of places for any information about this clock but really could not find anything. Was this something you knew already or am I not searching the information available to me correctly? For instance how did you know what bulletin to look in? Again thanks so...

    Large Ogee clock information needed

Happy Holidays to everyone! I was hoping someone could tell me who might have made this clock. It's a large Ogee clock, 39.5" high, 19.5" wide and 5" deep. The label is completely water stained and faded so there's no information to get off that. I even tried to take a photo and edit it to...

    Seth Thomas Sucile 1904

Just finished restoring this 1904 Seth Thomas model Sucile. On the bottom of case is the date code 4091B but there is also another stamp that reads "ORION". Any idea what this refers to?

    Tall case clock identification

Just wanted to give an update of the repairs to this clock. For the cracked porcelain dial I did a lot of research and found a place on line called Lakeside Pottery that had very good tutorials on repair pottery. I used those techniques and was able to save the 18th century dial. For the...
