• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

    Verge Fusee Pocketwatch

Hello, I just purchased a verge fusee pocket watch for my modest collection. I would like to find a reliable person to clean and service it. My regular person does not work on verge fusee packet watches. The name on the dial is Jeanneret, A Paris. The watch runs slow about 30 minutes a day...

    Seth Thomas Clock ID

I found a site with an exact movement from the front, bezel, dial, escapement etc . The site listed it as a series 600 iron mantle clock. It also said ST made very few clocks with an open escapement.

    John Fisher Clock Repair

Very intermittently, the hour and minute hands stop moving but the movement continues to run. The motion work binds up. The minute hand cannot be moved manually. Touching the wheel slightly cause a tink sound and the motion work unbinds. Looking at the pinion from the side, the leaves are worn...

Hello, I have this clock movement with the name John Fisher, Preston on the dial that I bought from the UK. The wheel that drives the hour pipe/snail has a badly worn pinion. Clocks Magazine Index

Yes, I found that on their site. A strange thing though, I did a Google search and came up with a 2017 listing on their site. But searching on their site it self I can't find it. Somewhere else I read they are working on updating their index.

    Clocks Magazine Index

Sorry. I did not know one is published at the end of each year. I looked on their site and only found a listing up to 2014. I'll look on the site again.

    Clocks Magazine Index

Looking for an index of articles for each month from 2017 forward to present. I can do it myself but thought if someone already had one, why invent the wheel.

    First Atmos

Yes, it is a 528-8. I assumed it needs servicing from its age and the fork and roller look misadjusted and the folks at Habitat did not know about the locking lever. I'll check the sites mentioned. Thanks for the help!

    First Atmos

Hello. I bought an Atmos at a Habitat store over the weekend. Something I wanted for ages. It needs servicing and, since this is my first Atmos, I am looking for a manual or service guide for them. I believe because of the serial number, 370189, and a plaque dated 1973 that it ia a 526 or 528...

    Mora Clock Alarm Crown Wheel

You are right. There is a click but it is extremely stiff and not obvious looking at the pulley and crown wheel. My amateur side is showing. Thanks.
