• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

The 3 screws around the wind knob hold the outer back on. I know there are a lot of Westclox collectors out there like me that would know!

Westclox Big Ben Peg Leg Alarm Clock

This is what most look like with those screws in those holes where mine are missing. I did see one on Ebay like mine without those screws, but hard too know if they are just missing or just a different model.

Westclox Big Ben Peg Leg Alarm Clock

In all the photos of this clock I have seen there are 4 screw heads showing in those 4 holes in the back of the case. Watching a disassemble on YouTube, those 3 screws around the set knob come off. The wind knobs are removed and the back comes off. Then the 4 screws are removed and the inner...

Found at a Fea Market, running with a gentle shake is my newest addition! Best thing about it, it's easy to get past the boss! :chuckling: It could use those missing back screws! If anyone has them please let me know!

Telechron Just Picked up a Telechron Ships Clock 6B09

Hi does this model clock self-adjust on its bell chime for the hours! If not, is there a way to correct the amount of chimes to the hour? I don't have photos yet on my computer.

Maintaining the finish on a Black Mantel Clock

Well I have used the Renaissance wax on two clocks and it is fantastic! The more layers you put on, the greater the mirror finish!

Maintaining the finish on a Black Mantel Clock

OK, I have two Seth Thomas Mantel Clocks and the black finish is nice. I've serched the forums, but most posts deal with refinish! How do I maintain the black finish? with wax or polish? Some type of cleaner?.

    My Early Elgin Wristwatch

One thing I do notice, my watch has the thin hands rather then the thicker hands shown in most Elgin early wristwatches!

My 1899 "New" Seth Thomas Black Mantel Clock

I found it at a box lot auction. Didn't think much of it, but I got it home and it cleaned up nicely. The movement is surprisingly clean. The label is there and the date code on the back. Key and all are there. Problem is the pendulum is detached, so I can't test it. Anyway, here it is!
