• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

Waltham Model 1857 in 14 Size?

Thanks everyone. This one they at least made an attempt to look like the 1857. I'm going to clean it up and keep it as a curiosity.

Waltham Model 1857 in 14 Size?

I found this Bartlett in a box of parts. It looks to be a model 1857 only it is 14 size not 18 size. Serial 125571. It shows from a small run of 30 watches and as an 18 size. Is it an experimental? I’m hoping to find the missing balance and barrel in the box.

Hamilton 992 First Run Model 1A

Jim, Could not agree more. I'm going to check my stuff for a dial first and it came with a beat keystone siveroide case that has extra screw marks I'll need to replace as well. It seems the 4 foot DS dials are not that hard to find. I hope I have one in my parts watches.

Hamilton 992 First Run Model 1A

Jim, I'm not trying to be picky but the reference you posted says "almost all". That being said I doubt it is the original dial.

Hamilton 992 First Run Model 1A

Got very lucky to have snagged this. 992 serial 302198. I'll post some better photos tomorrow. I'm not sure how significant first run watches in general but I'm sure happy to have it. Any idea how many of the first 100 are accounted for?
