• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

    Re-casing old movements

This is number 12 of my re-cased movements. It is a repro St No. 2 model 61 movement. I modified the movement a little to allow the use of an adjustable pendulum leader. I find it difficult to adjust the beat by bending the verge wire

    Re-casing old movements

George, thanks for your interest. It is getting very difficult to win a movement on the bay. They used to go for as little as 75 to 100, lately they are in the 175 range. Add to that the weight, pendulum, dial etc and the price gets up there.

    Re-casing old movements

So far I have only given these to children and grandchildren. When I finish number 12 I am considering trying to sell one. They are not cheap to build, they average over $300.00 each. I am somewhat doubtful that they would sell.

Another new case for old movement

Very nice, I am envious of your skills. Isn't it a great feeling to create a new home for an orphan movement. Could it be time to add another category to the message board?
