• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

My newest unknown what make it is mantel clock

Hi Steven, Sorry for the long delay in responding. Yes it appears that mine has the same movement as your picture. Is that good or bad ? 1883 to 1983 is quite a long spread, did they not make differences in either the movements or the casings ? Is this the Badische Uhrenfabrik ( Badif) movement...

    Frs Dupont Clock

Hi, Yes the name was Hermes, I thought it was strange to be a dutch clock with the German movement, but if it is a later clock I guess they could have any movement in them. The one I did find on the net stated that it also had a German movement in it, but did not mention the name. Thank you , Bill

Hi folks, This is my newest mantel clock. Would appreciate help in identifying it. Really a cute small clock measuring only12" high by 6" wide. It has a funny little second dial in the center, I believe that has something to do with the strike ?? There appears to be no markings on the movement...

Just got an Citizen Eco-Drive at a garage sale yesterday

What can anyone tell me about the Citizen eco-drive. I had understood it was not a bad watch, both for accuracy and longevity, but what do I know ? It has kept perfect time over night to the second. It was not working when I bought it, so googled it and got a manual on setting and trouble...

    Seth Thomas WC Mantel clock

Hi all, I just came into possession of a Seth Westminster chime mantle clock ca: 1930's. I finally got the beat right and it now keeps good time, the chime works, but what would cause the hour strike not to work ? I am a complete novice on clocks and am hoping it is something relatively easy...

    My weekend purchases

Thanks Kevin, Don had just mentioned about a "Mauthe" movement, and I was guessing that might be a cut above or something. Do you have any idea what movement is in this particular clock. and it seems to run well and keeps quite accurate time so far. Bill

Interesting, Would the untrained eye notice that, and if so what should I be seeing. I only ask as I just bought this watch recently second hand, and it was purchased at a very high end jeweller in the US. This jeweler I think by looking them up on the web page, refurbishes very expensive...
