    Grasshopper skeleton Clock

Pavel, It's superb !!! Thanks for sharing. Allen already mentioned before the beautiful hands. If I'm right (looking at the photo with the wooden trunk behind them) you did file them from the beginning with a flat surface till they are right? // Once I did see (in my clockmakers club)...

    Tower clock ready

Hi all, My tower-clock is ready. She … runs 3600 bph and sounds on a tiny bell…J, hours and half hours. It's a copy of a tower clock made by the well known (still exits) Eijsbouts company: Home - Royal Eijsbouts Klokkengieterij (Site can also viewed in other languages). The relative small...

    Vienna Case Project

The problem (for me at least) was the cumbersome splitting of diving lead in pieces that could be melted. Most of my clock-builders-club do use ballast granules (hopefully the right words) used for ships. A little bit more expensive than the big chunks but far more easy. Hessel

    Vienna Case Project

Oh no, sorry, I made a big typo above.. (language barrier). I did NOT mean the pendulum bob, but -->> the weight. And it seems to be low in weight , so a GOOD building sign. That was the message. Hessel

    Vienna Case Project

"""so I decided to dust off my limited carpentry skills""" Peter, I think (I'm sure) that your workshop is full of dust after this project, but, but...., it is a BIG misconception that your skills are dusty. Looks great !+! I presume that many of us are jealous, and do not have even the...

    Precision Regulator / Piece Ecole

Hi Jacob, Superb (bis) ! Thanks for posting this. Can I ask you a few questions ? * What material did you use for the anchor pallets ? * Did you use a sort of device (using the contol-circles) for grinding them ? * You have (i.m.o.) a special longitudinal effect on the frame plates...

Hello Eric, As you saw now about 44 members have read your question and no answers till now... I think, but may be wrong, that your question has a too wide spectrum and so cannot be answered in a simple and compact way. Let me “translate” your question if the message was placed on an...

Hello Slushieken, First of all: I presume you do -not- want to buy a commercial available one e.g.: Here or: Here It's clear that these clocks have a simple electronic clock-mechanism ($ 3) behind the dial. Ready to go .... I've disassembled several aviation clocks in my former life.. as...
