    Seeking a pendulum

I found a seller on ebay acouple of towns west of me , with 3 - 9 3/4" x 2 3/4 pendulums real cheap. I'll fiddle with them.

    Seeking a pendulum

Hi Willie, The length of the case is just 55.88cm....22". I thought I read somewhere today that Hermle measurements were taken from the top of the movement. Bruce suggests the flex point of the ss. When looking online I find different supply houses use either standard or metric measurements...

    Seeking a pendulum

Hi Bruce, I understand that this may not be the original movement. I found another HM 612-435 on ebay and the movement was a different number, but it was also a later date. So I sent the seller a message telling him of my dilemma and asking if he'd be so kind to measure the pendulum on it.

    Seeking a pendulum

Howdy, I picked up a Howard Miller Regulator the other day. I need a pendulum for it. It has (I asuume) a Hermle 151-070 movent that suggests a 43cm pendulum. From what I've read, that length is from the top of the movement? Well. When I measure from the top of the movement while it's in the...

OK then. I can't seem to find a source for parts for this, so back to the way it came to me. Thank you all. Keith

That's funny, RJ. When a buddy of mine came over and saw all of the clocks, he told me I need to get some cats.

There is the finish wear on Steven's. Got me to thinking. With the case on an angle, there is a dimple in the wood. Tool mark or bell inprint? Not having the bell, I don't know what the back looks like. Also the gong and base in post 14. I've looked at a lot of these type Ingraham clocks since...

    E. Ingraham & Co. Kitchen clock

After looking at the link Steven provided, I see a difference in the alarm. But I wonder if the hammer could have been manipulated to stike the gong base. I see no evidence of a bell being in the case where that hole is near the bottom. But then .... the base is simewhat bell like (in appearance...

    E. Ingraham & Co. Kitchen clock

Steven, Thank you so much. Those images give me something to work off of. The gong base looks like this one. The timer mechanism looks the same. However, my timer dial is brass color. I reckon I'll seek a bell and try and do something with the hammers. As for the pendulum and tablet, they'll...

Good eye, WillieX. I think some one "bubba'd" this thing. The bell is cast iron and the gong is attached to it. No ringing ....just thudding.

Howdy , I've never had an interest in these type clocks. Mainly because of the size and "guadiness" (for lack of another word) of 'em. So when I saw this one on an auction site, I liked that it didn't have the gingerbread "wings". I've seen past posts about dates and different names the company...

    If luck was dynamite.....

Crude. But functional. Now if I could just keep it running. I don't have rivets. The material is aluminum.

    If luck was dynamite.....

Apparently It is a bad design. The chime side broke in the same place. Leaving me to wonder whay sort of steel it was made of. I just moved it out to let the spring down and it tore like paper. Oh well. This oughta be a challenge. Merry Christmas eveyone.

I like the spring idea. My wife has a punch I used to make new ends on some broken springs. Pop the holes anneal and file to shape.

..........I couldn't blow my nose. Good morning and Merry Christmas. I hope y'all are in the spirit of giving, coz, I need a gift. While letting down the time spring of a Diehl "maritime" clock, It got away from me, breaking the click stop. Yes. I am painfully aware that my impatient **s...

    Elliott clock

Thx for the pic. It seems to me if this movement had those (inserts for lack of another word) in place, it would shift where the hammers strike. It would however give you a fraction of an inch more room to work with. By the way. There is no marking whatsoever on this movement. Other than...
