I have a miniature (2 1/2 X 3 ) French carriage clock with a missing teeth on the escape wheel. Where can I find either a replacement wheel or a replacement platform? The platform measures 2.3cm x 3.4cm.

I GOT IT! I changed the spring to a Horolovar .0022"-.056mm. That did the trick. I want to thank all you folks for your help. Couldn't do it without you.

Good morning Tinker.
I measured the spring with a micrometer. It is 0.01625 wide and .0025 thick. In 1- 60 minute period, it ran 75 minutes.

Now I know why I resisted repairing these clocks over the years. What size spring would you suggest I use? A heavy one or a thinner one. I am at a loss.

Tinker, I got the spring at Merritts and I miced it at .0025". I got the pendulum in a bag along with the clock but it has 4, 6 sided spheres that agree with the pictures in the books. Martin, your correct, there are two springs a 28a and 28b. the only...

That's what I thought, but I verified the id in M. Passmore book on pg. 17-12 to use a Horolovar 28b. What should I use?
