    Atmos Date Queston

From the list I found on the internet it should be from 1958. A date should be noted on the bellow ( production date of bellow, might be a little different from the date of the clock) but I wouldn’t open the clock just to check the date.

    Polishing scratched acrylic domes

I would think that most of the household products are too coarse. One idea I had, there are products out there which you can use to polish the headlight on cars, I have not used them but saw a test on these which provided really good results on the car headlight and I think price wise they are...

Kurt indeed the blue of lapis lazuli is stunning, but the dials look like they are painted, that’s why I’m asking for members that have one and could clarify. I know that there were Atmos models where the side panels were of real lapis lazuli. The guy in Germany that services the Atmos has...

Another question I would have is regarding the Atmos dial called lapis lazuli, is this really a thin slice of lapis lazuli rock or is it blue paint with speckles on it? Maybe one of the forum members has such a clock and could let me know. Thanks a lot in advance! Rob

Help identifying this glass ball or loupe watch

Thanks for the additional information, I think I will try to use razor blades once I bought some. I value this watch so I would never use excessive force on it as I fear to break it. Would it help to apply some oil to make the sliding easier or is there the risk that the oil moves somewhere...

Help identifying this glass ball or loupe watch

Hi JTD, Thanks, yes mine is over 70 years old. . I tried to unscrew but nothing moved. I tried to simply pull but nothing moved. That’s why I’m scared that something might break if I use more force. I looked carefully and couldn’t find any knobs to press or catches. i found a French version of...

Help identifying this glass ball or loupe watch

Thanks JTD for the information, this helps. By coincidence you wouldn’t know how to open this kind of watch ( as I would like to reattach the seconds hand) but I don’t want to use too much force to break it. Rob

Help identifying this glass ball or loupe watch

I have this glass ball watch and would like to know the manufacturer and the official name of this kind of watch. The glass ball is about 2.5 ich or 6 cm in diameter. On the rearside the only marks I could find were an „M“ a cross and the serial or Model number 7032 ( or 7082 the 3/8 is hard to...

Help Dating Atmos Clocks - with fotos

Hi Mun, your last post is very interesting and raises question on my side ... Your Atmos II was made 242 units after my Atmos, John Hubby mentioned in a PM that mine would have been made in early 1950. I cannot imagine that if yours in from 1952 that they only produced about 120 clocks a year...
