    A. Nicolet watch

The watch is complete except for the hairspring. The old one is mangled and broken. I will do the work myself. A good cleaning should be all it needs, once the hairspring is repaired. Does anyone have any specific info on this watch, or point me to info I can look up? Thanks!

    A. Nicolet watch

I have this little pocket watch (I would incorrectly call it a 3/0 size). It says A. Nicolet on the dust cover, with a serial number. The watch number matches. Obviously, the watch needs restoration, but I am wondering if that would be worth undertaking. The case is marked 0.800, with hallmarks...

Mechanical WW Longines 343 Automatic Movement Canion Pinion

First, sorry for the brain cramp on the spelling of "cannon"...and I have located a pinion. The entire 340 series cannon pinions are the same, part #245.

Mechanical WW Longines 343 Automatic Movement Canion Pinion

If anyone has one, please let me know. I would also be interested in a parts watch with a good canion pinion. And a question: Will a canion pinion from a 340 fit the 343? Thanks in advance...Jim

Electric WW Omeaga Seamaster Crown Removal (One Piece Case)

Thanks!...It popped right off once I had confidence. I used the tweezer method. I have long learned to always ask the question before proceeding in the face of uncertainty.

Electric WW Omeaga Seamaster Crown Removal (One Piece Case)

I have a 14k cased Omega Seamaster. The case reference is KM6610 and is a one-piece case. The movement a caliber 550. I have the crystal off but am having trouble with the crown. I have searched and from what I have read, this is likely a two-piece stem and the outer portion should simply pull...

American PW questions on a repair job

You should expect that watch to perform to +/- 30-60 sec/week. They should be able to show you the trace from the timing machine...and NO, don't "pluck at" the hairspring!

    American made self winding movements

My daily wear is a 1955 Bulova 23 Jewel six-adjustment self-winding . It keeps near perfect time, and has for the six years I've been wearing it. I cleaned and oiled it once. I guess it is coming due for another servicing. ...and I believe that this watch would sell for around $700...

    Fancy "Masonic?" Dial..Info Needed

Thanks again for all the replies. Kent asked for the serial number. Attached is a photo of the movt. The serial number is 882384. Also, from the document that Don posted, the dial does look just like #122, with the exception of this one has a tent in the seconds bit, like the one at...

Rockford 16s Dome Model 17 Jewel

Thanks for the info Greg! :D I personally haven't seen another one, and I really like these dome model 2-tone movements. I try to look at all I run across. (I think I have 4 now...the rest are 15 jewel).

Rockford 16s Dome Model 17 Jewel

Interesting watch here. It is marked 17 jewel and really does have all 17. I have been told this may be what is known as a grade 103X. Greg, What do you think? Any idea on production figures?

American PW Illinois 23j Bunn Special 60

Sounds like the pallet jewel is outside of the fork. It is a simple process to put it back in, but the question then remains of what caused it in the first place ...which could lead to a much longer path. Jim
