    Seth Thomas Pioneer #2 Cymbal

Running for a bit and then stopping, probably needs cleaned. Based on my experience it is cheaper to have someone else clean your clock than it is to get the tools to do it correctly yourself, that usually cost more than what you probably paid for the clock. That said there are many people on...

Look closely at the bottom on the clock is may have a date stamp. Reverse order and a letter representing the month. The dial looks correct for the clock. You take the works out for maintenance and might just not have been aligned right.

I figure I would add to the lore of the Hennegen-Bates Company with this Seth Thomas Sonora Chime clock I recently purchased at an online auction.

Thought I would share my first pocket watch with you all. Hamilton with ~1933 992 movement. Seems the general consensus is the this is a dial from a 992B.

Ok, this is what I do, when I wind my clocks weekly I will adjust time and pendulum. If I get within 2 minutes slow for the week I am happy. I will always slow it running fast. I don’t worry about it running faster and or slower throughout the week.

Yes, it needs to be cleaned and oiled . Yes, it needs to be wound. The correct key size can be determined by measuring the winding arbor. If you take it to be cleaned they can assist with the key or one of the experts here may be able to tell you the size. Beautiful clock.

Regulator Style - please help identify maker and age

Follow up question, the second bit of this clock mechanism completes one cycle ever ~45 seconds while the time is accurately kept. Is this normal and expected for this mechanism?

Junghans Mini Regulator, believe it to be late 1800’s/early 1900’s but cannot find it in the archives to verify.

    Thoughts on O.G. Clocks

I think OG clocks are great clocks. Easy to repair and almost always need work. That is a plus to me. Currently have 5, this is my favorite. Before and after
